And seeing the difference in price between what is being launched and what is being destroyed in West Asia the past year, my guess is that, if it comes to fighting a war, the West and NATO will deplete their financial reserves in no time. Maybe then they will finally realize that all this backroom deal-making is not in the interest of world economy and more importantly, not in the interest of the safety of the world population.
Meanwhile Rutte is a very elusive character. He was living with his mum almost all his life, until she passed away in 2020. Also (not so relevant but somewhat telling) he was never known to have a relationship, there wasn't even ever any gossip about him having a girl/boyfriend. He was clearly very power-driven as a PM of the Netherlands, and in his last term he was also vocal about his warmongering. When Russia invaded Ukraine, his public mantra was immediately "This is OUR war". When he got the NATO job, he was so happy, looking like a boy in a candy store. And of course he is also a fervent WEF supporter, one of the Klaus Schwab 'golden boys'. "We are very proud (...) that we have penetrated their cabinets ...", remember? Yet is seems that Rutte is also keeping himself clear of that whole self-enriching tendency.
